Wow, where to begin... Let's start from the beginning, say just over three weeks ago, April 21st, 2011.
My best buds, Andy, Jeff and I head to Tacoma for first day of this years 72 Hour Film Competition, presented by The Grand Cinema. With 30 teams (and about 100+ people in a room that fits 10) Things were about to get on there way. We were given our guidelines and sent on our way with now about 71 hours to script, film, edit, and submit our films by 7PM Easter Sunday.
This year, we had to have the following criteria.
The next 3 days were pure madness, but we went into this with one thing in mind, "have fun." With that, our creativity began to flow again (it had been a few years since college) and we managed to create something we were all very proud of (and still friends after...) We really had no clue what to expect from this, as this was our first competition we did together, well, that I was apart of, Andy and Jeff had done another one couple years prior, so at least they had some experience.
It came down to the wire, as it took much longer then expected to burn the darn thing to DVD, but Jeff managed to get it there with 10 minutes to spare. Fingers crossed, let's hope they enjoy it! Well, below is what we made, our Award Winning short film, "It Came First"

This year, we had to have the following criteria.
- One of the characters had to have a Super Power
- Line of dialogue: "What are you going to do about it?"
- Prop: an Egg
- Location: a dock or a pier
- 5 Minute Maximum Length, including credits
